Cairo – Mubasher: Banque du Caire reported net profits of EGP 2.90 billion by the end of the third quarter (Q3) of 2022, up 7% when compared to EGP 2.70 billion in the same quarter in 2021, Akhbar El-Yom reported.
The bank's net income from returns grew by 19% annually in Q3-22 to EGP 9.20 billion, compared to EGP 7.70 billion, while the bank's net income from fees and commissions jumped by around 21% yearly to EGP 1.70 billion in Q3-22 from EGP 1.40 billion.
Likewise, operating revenues surged by 19% in Q3-22 to reach EGP 11.30 billion. In the meantime, the lender’s assets totalled EGP 297 billion by the end of the July-September 2022 period, a yearly rise of 16%.
The customer and bank loans portfolio rose by 17% or EGP 19 billion to EGP 129 billion by the end of last September, while the corporate credit portfolio hiked by 16% on an annual basis to EGP 63.30 billion.
During the first half (H1) of 2022, the bank logged standalone net profits after tax worth EGP 1.84 billion, compared to EGP 1.81 billion in H1-21.
Furthermore, the net interest income grew to EGP 5.91 billion in H1-22 from EGP 5.03 billion in H1-21.
