Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bonds (T-bonds) at an aggregated value of EGP 7.25 billion through two offerings on Monday, 19 December.
The first auction was valued at EGP 7 billion and will mature in three years on 6 December 2025, according to official data.
Holding a seven-year tenor until 7 May 2029, the second tranche stood at EGP 250 million.
Meanwhile, the CBE auctioned zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 5.50 billion through one offering, carrying a maturity period of 1.5 years until 18 June 2024.
Last week, the central bank issued T-bonds worth EGP 8 billion through two auctions and zero-coupon T-bonds at a value of EGP 6 billion through one offering.
