Cairo – Mubasher: The customs authority of Dekheila Port collected a total of EGP 1.94 billion in taxes, customs duties, and other charges at El Dekheila Port in December 2022, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported.

The authority issued 5,893 final import clearance letters at the port last December for all general goods and strategic commodities, including wheat, sugar, soybeans, and corn.

The total value of customs duties collected for import letters stood at EGP 314.22 million, whilst the value-added tax and other fees imposed on them amounted to EGP 1.25 billion and EGP 367.62 million, respectively.

In the meantime, the port exported goods that include aluminum, food products, stainless steel, and marble at a total value of EGP 10.70 billion. Charges collected for some of the exported goods reached EGP 211,000.
