CBE offers two-type T-bonds at EGP 4.5bn on Monday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bonds (T-bonds) at an aggregated value of EGP 3.50 billion through two auctions on Monday, 16 January.

The first offering was valued at EGP 3 billion, carrying a three-year maturity period until 12 January 2026, according to official data.

With a tenor of five years until 13 October 2027, the second tranche stood at EGP 500 million.

Additionally, the CBE auctioned zero-coupon T-bonds at a value of EGP 1 billion through one issue, which will mature in 1.5 years on 16 July 2024.

Last week, the central bank issued zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 1.50 billion through one auction.
