Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 35 billion through two tranches on Sunday, 22 January, according to official data.
Holding a tenor of 91 days until 25 April 2023, the first issue was valued at EGP 13.50 billion.
The second auction stood at EGP 21.50 billion and will mature in 273 days on 24 October this year.
On 19 January, the CBE offered T-bills at a total value of EGP 43.50 billion through two issues.
