CBE auctions EGP 35bn T-bills on Sunday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 35 billion through two auctions on Sunday, 5 March, according to official data.

The first issue stood at EGP 13.50 billion, holding a tenor of 91 days until 6 June 2023.

Meanwhile, the second tranche was valued at EGP 21.50 billion and will mature in 273 days on 5 December this year.

On 2 March, the CBE offered T-bills at a combined value of EGP 43.50 billion through two issues.
