Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a total value of EGP 3.25 billion through two auctions on Monday, 20 March.
The first tranche was valued at EGP 3 billion and will mature in three years on 6 April 2026, according to official data.
Holding a tenor of seven years until 7 May 2029, the second offering stood at EGP 250 million.
Furthermore, the CBE auctioned zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 1.50 billion through one issue, carrying a maturity period of 1.5 years until 10 September 2024.
Last week, the central bank announced three-type T-bonds at a combined value of EGP 2.50 billion.
