| Announcement Detail | ACWA Power Company announces that it has received from Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC) the commercial operation certificate for Group 2 of Taweelah RO Desalination Company located in Taweelah, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, corresponding to 378,689 m3/day desalinated water production capacity. In addition to the Group 1 that started commercial operation on 9 June 2022 with 454,609 m3/day capacity of desalinated water, the total capacity of the Taweelah RO plant under commercial operations reaches 833,298 m3/day.
ACWA Power owns a 40% stake in the project company. The financial impact pertaining to Group 2 is expected to be reflected from Q2 of 2023 onwards. |
