CBE auctions T-bills worth EGP 39.5bn on Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 39.50 billion through two offerings on Thursday, 27 April, according to official data.

The first tranche was valued at EGP 16 billion, holding a 182-day maturity period until 31 October 2023.

With a tenor of 364 days until 30 April 2024, the second issue stood at EGP 23.50 billion.

On 19 April, the CBE auctioned T-bills at a combined value of EGP 40 billion through two tranches.
