CBE issues T-bills worth EGP 42.5bn on Thursday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 42.50 billion through two issues on Thursday, 7 September.

The first issue was valued at EGP 18.50 billion, holding a tenor of 182 days until 12 March 2024, according to official data.

The second offering stood at EGP 24 billion and will mature in 364 days on 10 September next year.

Earlier this week, the financial regulatory auctioned T-bills at a total value of EGP 40 billion through two tranches.
