DMZ Cairo’s event brings together over 10 startups for incubation programme, bootcamp

Cairo – Mubasher: Startup incubator DMZ Cairo held the second edition of its Demo Day on 20 September 2023 to pinpoint the innovative nature of the region, in the presence of 16 Egyptian startups in the fields of fintech, proptech, edtech, and others.

The involved startups participated in DMZ Cairo’s Incubation Program and FinTech Bootcamp, where they engaged with potential investors, partners, and customers to have the exposure needed to drive their journey forward, according to a press release.

The FinTech Bootcamp was powered by the listed Export Development Bank of Egypt (EBE) and included seven fintech companies, namely Arzaaq, HWALA, KashNow, Pay Bokra, Shahbandar El-Togar, SWNT, and VLens.

In addition, Rentool as well as Betak were the two proptech firms in the bootcamp, while Analyze That was a startup in the data and analytics segment.

DMZ Cairo also featured the National Program for Technology Incubators (INTILAC) in collaboration with the Academy of Scientific Research, where six startups joined. Credify and Payllion represented the fintech industry, Tutoruu was in the edtech field, MacknMall as well as Remooz platforms represented the retail tech and market place, while smart accounting and financial management platform Finvo was under the software as a service (SaaS).

DMZ Cairo is preparing to launch its third cycle and will disclose the submission dates in the near future.
