UAE – Mubasher: Etihad Airways, the flag carrier of the UAE, recently launched flights to three new routes to offer more connectivity to its global network, according to a press release.
The airline operated its first flights to Dusseldorf in Germany on 28 September, followed by Copenhagen in Denmark on 29 September, and Osaka in Japan on 1 October.
Etihad also announced increased frequencies to popular destinations such as Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur and Sri Lanka’s Colombo.
CEO of Etihad Airways, Antonoaldo Neves, said: "We are helping accelerate economic growth for the city by providing more travel options and seamless connections, ensuring it's easier for guests to visit Abu Dhabi either as a destination or as part of a stopover as they explore our growing global network."
In 2023, Etihad announced nine new destinations, including Malaga, Mykonos, Lisbon, Kolkata, St Petersburg, Boston, and others.
Furthermore, routes to the Indian Subcontinent, Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram, will commence operating in January 2024.
The airline also added five more flights per week to Egypt’s Cairo that will start on 1 January 2024, making triple daily operations to the Egyptian capital.
