CBE offers EGP 47.5bn T-bills on Sunday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 47.50 billion through two issues on Sunday, 5 November 2023.

The first tranche was valued at EGP 23 billion, holding a tenor of 91 days until 6 February 2024, according to official data.

With a 273-day maturity period until 6 August next year, the second issue stood at EGP 24.50 billion.

Last Thursday, the CBE auctioned T-bills at a total value of EGP 46.50 billion through two offerings.
