CBE auctions EGP 46.5bn T-bills on Thursday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 46.50 billion through two auctions on Thursday, 30 November 2023.

The first tranche stood at EGP 20 billion and will mature in 182 days on 4 June 2024, according to official data.

With a 364-day tenor until 3 December next year, the second offering was valued at EGP 26.50 billion.

Earlier this week, on 26 November, the central bank announced T-bills worth EGP 47.50 billion through two issues.
