UAE – Mubasher: Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) of the UAE has commenced a roadshow to Egypt on 13 December 2023 under the leadership of its Director General, Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, according to a press release.

The initiative will last for two days until 14 December with the objective of highlighting awareness about Ajman's significance and its different tourist and cultural offerings while fostering partnerships with leading companies in Egypt's tourism sector.

ADTD’s delegation to the Arab Republic is expected to enter strategic agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) while boosting partnerships and presenting efforts to elevate Ajman's tourist attractions. Emphasis will be placed on economic, social, cultural, and environmental aspects to endorse sustainable tourism.

It is worth noting that Egypt is the fifth largest source market for Ajman, with Egyptian visitors accounting for 7% of total tourism since 2021.

ADTD concluded: “This underscores the robust and sustainable ties between the two countries, as evidenced by a notable 8% growth in the Egyptian market during 2023 (from the third quarter (Q3) to the beginning of the year) compared to the same period in 2022.”
