S&P highlighted in its report the major driver for the upgrade due to the material improvement in Tawuniya's capital adequacy under the new criteria is primarily due to lower liability risk charges, and to some extent, higher total adjusted capital.

S&P has given a stable outlook for Tawuniya due to its expectations that the company will maintain its market-leading position, as well as very strong capital and earnings, supported by both its underwriting and investment activities over the next two years.
