Valu, Bosta collaborate to reinforce e-commerce sector

Cairo – Mubasher: MENA's leading fintech powerhouse Valu inked a a strategic agreement with Bosta, a leading tech-enabled last-mile delivery service provider in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

The partnership aims to enhance the purchasing process and boost sales for e-commerce businesses, according to a press release.

PayTabs Egypt developed a new tool to facilitate the payment of shipments using the installment on delivery (IOD) feature through the Valu app for the first time in Egypt.  

In response to the needs of the SME sector, Bosta provided its customers with a value-added service of installment payments at no additional cost and they can pay in installments via Bosta’s courier.

Those with a Valu account are offered installment plans ranging from one to 60 months, which will improve the convenience and affordability of shopping for customers.

Motaz Lofty, Business Development and Strategic Partnerships Senior Director of Valu, stated: “This strategic agreement will transform the concept of shipping in Egypt, offering greater benefits to e-commerce businesses.”

“By collaborating with Bosta, Valu aims to ease the purchasing process and achieve higher sales for our valued customers,” Lotfy added.

Mohamed Ezzat, the CEO and Co-Founder of Bosta, commented: “This [agreement] presents a remarkable opportunity for us to enhance growth for businesses and provide superior service for our clients.”

Karim Eyada, General Manager of PayTabs Egypt, noted: “We believe this partnership has the potential to have a positive impact on e-commerce growth in Egypt. The duration of the entire transaction will be shorter than the time required to count cash.”

In December 2023, Valu secured its seventh securitised bond issuance at an amount of 953.10 million, which aligned with the approved extended EGP 9 billion programme.
