Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 70 billion through two auctions on Sunday, 28 January 2024.
The first issue was valued at EGP 35 billion, carrying an 182-day maturity period until 30 July this year, according to official data.
With a tenor of 364 days until 28 January 2025, the second offering also stood at EGP 35 billion.
Both the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) and the CBE resumed their operations today after halting their business last Thursday on the occasion of the 25 January Revolution Anniversary and National Police Day.
