CBE auctions T-bills worth EGP 62bn on Sunday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 62 billion through two auctions on Sunday, 25 February 2024.

The first tranche stood at EGP 35 billion, holding a tenor of 91 days until 28 May this year, according to official data.

The second offering was valued at EGP 27 billion and will mature in 273 days on 26 November 2024.

On 22 February, the financial authority unveiled T-bills worth EGP 70 billion through two auctions.
