EGX ends Wednesday in red; benchmark index dips 1.1%

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices ended all in the red territory on Wednesday, and the main index, EGX30, declined by 1.13% to end at 28,876.46 points.

The EGX70 index dropped by 3.36% to end at 7,289.29 points, while the EGX100 index tumbled 3.04% to settle at 10,216.82 points.

Trading value stood at EGP 6.65 billion through the exchange of 1.09 billion shares, while the market cap value reached EGP 1.98 trillion.

In terms of trading on securities, Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 112.35 million. Meanwhile, foreign and Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 54.53 million and EGP 54.81 million, respectively.
