Foreigners lead EGX to end Thursday in green

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) indices showed positive performance on Thursday after plunging yesterday, supported by foreign investors’ purchases.

The benchmark index, EGX30, surged by 5.24% to close at 31,300.54 points, while the EGX70 index gained 0.30% to end at 7,223.93 points.

Similarly, the EGX100 index rose by 1.02% to settle at 10,281.10 points.

Trading value stood at EGP 6.63 billion through the exchange of 696.72 million shares, while the market cap value reached EGP 2.12 trillion.

In terms of trading on securities, foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 610.54 million. Meanwhile, Egyptian and Arab traders were net sellers with EGP 385.81 million and EGP 224.72 million, respectively.
