| Announcement Detail | ACWA Power Company announces that it has received on the 12th of March 2024 a notice from Taweelah RO Desalination Company located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates stating that it has been granted the Project Commercial Operation Certificate from the Emirates Water & Electricity Company (EWEC) for the remaining 75,920 m3/day, this comes in addition to Group 1 that started commercial operation on 9 June 2022 with 454,609 m3/day capacity of desalinated water and Group 2 that started the commercial operation on 25 April 2023 with 378,689 m3/day capacity of desalinated water. With this, the project has now achieved full commercial operation with total capacity of 909,218 m3/day.
ACWA Power owns a 40% stake in the project company.
The financial impact is expected to be reflected from Q2 2024 |
