Element List Explanation
The reason of the increase (decrease) in the sales/ revenues during the current year compared to the last year Revenues increased in 2023 by 18.3% to reach SR 2,943 million, comparing to SR 2,488 million in 2022, due to the increase in the number of visitors to the Group’s hospitals and the increase in occupancy rates in both of inpatient and outpatient clinics departments as a result of the increased operational and capacity of the Group’s hospital
The reason of the increase (decrease) in the net profit during the current year compared to the last year is The net profit for the year 2023 increased by 31.2% to reach SR 360.1 million, comparing to SR 274.5 million in 2022, which led to an increase in earnings per share to reach 3.70 SR/share in 2023 comparing to 3.05 SR/share in 2022. This is due to :

1) The gross profit improved for the year 2023, reaching SR 1,079 million, comparing to SR 895 million in 2022, with an increase of 21%, as a result of the growth in revenues.

2) The performance improvement of the associates companies led to a decrease in the Company’s share of the losses of these companies by SR 21 million in year 2023, as the losses decreased from SR 23 million in 2022 to reach SR 2 million during the year 2023, in addition to the Company’s acquisition of an additional interest in an associated company in the year 2023.

3) In 2022, a special provision for zakat was recorded amounted to SR 18.5 million as a result of the group receiving initial Zakat assessments, while in 2023, amended zakat assessments were received in favor of the Company.
