CBE auctions EGP 55bn T-bills on Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 55 billion through auctions on Thursday, 28 March 2024.

The first offering includes EGP 35 billion worth of T-bills with an 182-day maturity until 1 October 2024, according to the bank’s website.

The second offering amounts to EGP 25 and has a maturity of 364 days until 1 April 2025.

On 24 March, the CBE auctioned T-bills at a total value of EGP 50 billion in two offerings.
