UAE – Mubasher: Magnati, a Middle Eastern payments solutions provider, has entered into a partnership with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution (ADNOC Distribution) to enhance the experience of retail customers.

The partnership includes offering the services of Magnati’s single-device point-of-sale terminals at all ADNOC service stations and ADNOC Oasis stores, according to a press release.

The new payment terminals will facilitate a group of transactions, including fuel and non-fuel purchases, in addition to services such as car wash and lube change.

Magnati’s terminals accept various payment methods, including bank cards, cash, loyalty points, digital wallets, Electronic Identification (EID), prepaid cards, and more.

Ramana Kumar, CEO of Magnati, said: “We are excited to partner with ADNOC Distribution to implement our first-of-its-kind payment technology across their extensive retail network. Our solution is designed to meet the evolving needs of ADNOC Distribution’s customers, who are looking for fast, secure, and convenient payment options.”

“We are confident that our partnership will help us to revolutionise the payment experience in the UAE, ushering in a new era of next-generation solutions that unlock the full potential of payments,” Kumar added.

Bader Al Lamki, CEO of ADNOC Distribution, stated: “Our partnership with Magnati supports ADNOC Distribution’s Payment Device Standardisation strategy, where payment and business solutions are seamlessly integrated end to end.”

“Through our steadfast commitment to innovation enabled by technology and artificial intelligence, our new payment terminals also facilitate vehicle license plate recognition and allow customers to order from ADNOC Oasis stores, further supporting personalised customer experiences,” Al Lamki noted.

ADNOC Distribution logged a net profit attributable to the owners of AED 2.60 billion in 2023, down from AED 2.74 billion in 2022.
