Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a total value of EGP 3.50 billion through two issues on Monday, 13 May 2024.
The first auction stood at EGP 3 billion and will mature in three years on 7 May 2027, according to official data.
The second tranche was valued at EGP 500 million and holds a tenor of five years until 14 May 2029.
Additionally, the CBE unveiled zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 6 billion through one issue, which carries a 546-day maturity period until 11 November 2025.
Earlier this week, the financial authority auctioned debt instruments valued at EGP 60 billion through two issues.
