CBE issues T-bills worth EGP 45bn on Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 45 billion through two issues on Thursday, 16 May 2024.

The first tranche was valued at EGP 25 billion and will mature in 182 days on 19 November this year, according to official data.

With a tenor of 364 days until 20 May 2025, the second offering stood at EGP 20 billion.

Earlier this week, on 12 May, the CBE issued T-bills worth EGP 60 billion through two auctions.
