Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco), Japan’s Mizuho Financial Group, and other companies have signed agreements on the sidelines of the Business Forum of Saudi-Japan Vision 2030, according to Bloomberg.

Signed on 21 May 2024, the agreements are aimed at bolstering collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Japan.

The agreements cover projects in multiple sectors including manufacturing, health care, finance, and tourism.

Aramco signed deals with Japanese refiner Eneos Holdings and Japan’s top banks, Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group and Mizuho, along with Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power.

The Saudi-Japan business forum sees the signing of 30 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) solidifying between Saudi Arabia and Japan in areas such as green energy and technology, aiming to boost investment between the two nations.

Moreover, Japanese trading house Marubeni Corporation also announced plans for a wind farm project in Saudi Arabia.

Earlier in May, Aramco inked an agreement with Pasqal to install the first quantum computer in Saudi Arabia.
