Apache Egypt names new Acting Vice President, Country Manager

Cairo – Mubasher: Apache Egypt has appointed Greg McDaniel as Acting Vice President and Country Manager for the company's Egypt assets.

McDaniel will continue in his current responsibilities as General Manager in the joint venture with Khalda Petroleum Company, according to an official statement.

He joined Apache in 2001 and has served in various operational and management roles in the Permian Basin, Canada, and Egypt.

Before Apache, he worked at Chevron. Apache Corporation, an oil and gas exploration and production company, operates in the US, Egypt, and the UK.

Over the past 30 years, Apache has become the largest oil producer and onshore acreage holder in Egypt.

In 2021, the company announced the ratification of a modernised production-sharing contract (PSC) with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation.
