Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia's communications and information technology exports rose above SAR 6 billion in 2023 supported by programmes designed to propel growth in the non-oil sector.

Overall services exports jumped by 40% to SAR 182 billion, led by a tourism rebound, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Transport and telecom exports climbed to SAR 24.20 billion and SAR 6.30 billion respectively.

The Saudi tech market exceeded SAR 91 billion in size in 2022 as digital startups increased by 13%.

To spur outbound shipments, the Saudi Export Development Authority (Saudi Exports) is actively partnering with government entities to enhance the export environment for technology companies.

Collaborating with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, it contributes to the development of the “BRIDGE” initiative, supporting technology companies in expanding internationally and increasing technological exports.

Tech firms Foodics, Mrsool, and Naseej expanded abroad under “BRIDGE” and other initiatives boosting internationalisation.
