Egyptian Exchange sees negative performance on Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended in the red on Thursday, with the EGX30 main index inching lower by 0.77% to 26,428.65 points.

Both small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI indices closed the session lower by 0.61% at 5,759.59 points and by 0.73% at 8,360.33 points, respectively.

EGX’s trading value reached EGP 1.98 billion after 458.94 million shares were exchanged, while the market cap value amounted to EGP 1.78 trillion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian and Arab traders were net sellers with EGP 66.37 million and EGP 25.26 million, respectively. Meanwhile, the foreign investors were net buyer with EGP 91.63 million.
