CBE offers T-bills worth EGP 55bn on Sunday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bills (T-bills) worth EGP 55 billion through two tranches on Sunday, 9 June.

The first auction stood at EGP 30 billion and will mature in 91 days on 10 September 2024, according to official data.

Meanwhile, the second offering was valued at EGP 25 billion, holding a tenor of 273 days until 11 March 2025.

Last Thursday, the CBE auctioned T-bills at a total value of EGP 45 billion through two issues.
