UAE stock markets close Wednesday in red

UAE – Mubasher: The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Wednesday’s trading session lower by 29.75 points (0.74%) at 3,979.18 points.

A total of 275.58 million shares were exchanged during the session at a value of AED 348.81 million.

Agility Public Warehousing topped the risers with 3.65%, while AL SALAM Sudan led the fallers with 4.76%.

Drake and Scull International (DSI) was the most active stock in terms of volume with 165.53 million shares traded, while Emaar Properties topped the market in terms of trading value with AED 72.81 million.

Similarly, the benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) edged lower 0.241% at 8,978.20 points.

The turnover stood at AED 1.44 billion through the exchange of 485.44 million shares, while the market cap value amounted to AED 2.74 trillion.

Alef Education Holding achieved the highest trading volume and value with 150.01 million shares traded for AED 182.57 million. However, the stock led the losers with a 12.59% decline.

Furthermore, Gulf Cement topped the gainers with 3.57%.
