UAE stock markets rise on Wednesday after Eid break

UAE – Mubasher: After resuming trading on 19 June 2024, the main index DFMGI of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) rose by 4.44 points (0.11%) on Wednesday, closing the session at 3,988.22 points.

On the occasion of Eid Al Adha holiday, DFM along with Abu Dhabi Financial Exchange (ADX) and Nasdaq Dubai were closed on 15-18 June 2024.

A total of 73.69 million shares were exchanged at a turnover of AED 164.50 million.

Al Salam Bank – Sudan topped the risers with 14.90%, while BHM Capital Financial Services led the fallers with 9.76%.

Emaar Properties generated the biggest turnover of AED 38.31 million, Drake and Scull International (DSI) was the most active stock on which 15.30 million shares were traded.

Similarly, the benchmark index FADGI of ADX closed in the green zone after going up by 0.40% to 8,969.44 points.

A total of 155.45 million shares were exchanged at a value of AED 794.14 million. Meanwhile, the market cap value stood at AED 2.75 trillion at the end of the session.

Hily Holding was the top riser with 12.36%, whereas Al Wathba National Insurance Company headed the fallers with 9.57%.

International Holding Company (IHC) posted the biggest turnover of AED 206.58 million, while Multiply Group was the most active stock on which 20.24 million shares were exchanged.
