Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 55 billion through two issues on Monday, 24 June.

With a value of EGP 30 billion, the first tranche will mature in 91 days on 24 September 2024, according to official data.

The second auction stood at EGP 25 billion and carries a tenor of 273 days until 25 March 2025.

Additionally, the CBE issued treasury bonds (T-bonds) worth EGP 500 million through one auction that will mature in five years on 25 June 2029.

A zero-coupon T-bonds were announced at an amount of EGP 4 billion through one issue, which carries a 525-day maturity period until 2 December next year.

Earlier this week, the central bank unveiled debt instruments at an aggregated value of EGP 47.50 billion.
