UAE – Mubasher: Dubai-based carrier flydubai has announced the launch of new routes to two Pakistani cities starting July 2024.

Daily flights will connect Dubai International Airport with Islamabad International Airport and Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, according to a press release.

The new routes add to flydubai's existing network serving Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, Quetta, and Sialkot in Pakistan.

Passengers can enjoy amenities like international meals and entertainment in Business Class or optimised Economy seating. 

Return Business fares from Dubai start from AED 5,500/PKR 400,000, while Economy starts AED 1,200-1,300/PKR 120,000.

The expanded network offers travellers from the UAE, GCC, and Pakistan greater flight options and connectivity.

Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai, said: “Pakistan has long been an important market for flydubai. Since 2010 when we first started operations to the market, we have seen sustained demand for travel and with the start of our daily services to Islamabad and Lahore.”

Sudhir Sreedharan, Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations (UAE, GCC, Africa and the Indian Subcontinent) at flydubai, stated: “flydubai’s new daily services to Islamabad and Lahore will offer our customers from the UAE and Pakistan with more convenient and reliable options for travel.”

flydubai witnessed growth in passenger numbers since the beginning of 2024, carrying out almost five million passengers between 1 January and 28 April.
