UAE – Mubasher: The Minister of Economy of the UAE Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri has recently led the delegation to the gathering chaired by Russia, which holds the 2024 BRICS chairmanship focusing on multilateralism and inclusive development.

The meeting focused on joint cooperation to support sustainable tourism development and explore new opportunities, which boost economic growth and cultural exchange as well as position countries as top destinations, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

Bin Touq highlighted his nation's commitment under its leadership to enhancing tourism partnerships with BRICS countries

“We are dedicated to working with our BRICS partners to develop a resilient and sustainable tourism sector,” bin Touq stated.

He added: “This includes improving air connectivity and infrastructure, leveraging the strategic locations of the UAE and BRICS nations, embracing digital transformation and technology across various tourism sectors, and sharing best practices to facilitate travel and increase tourism flows among member states.”
