Egypt’s new ministers announced after Cabinet reshuffle

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s new government was reportedly unveiled, on 3 July, under the leadership of Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly.

Extra News channel revealed the names of the entire new ministerial formation, which was approved by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The reports indicated that 21 of Egypt's governorates will receive new leadership, while the remaining six will retain their current governors.

  • Kamel El-Wazir – Minister of Joint Trade and Transport

  • Maya Morsy - Minister of Social Solidarity
  • Mohamed Gobran – Minister of Labor
  • Ahmed Hanno - Minister of Culture
  • Mohamed Abdel Latif - Minister of Education
  • Ashraf Sobhy - Minister of Youth and Sports
  • Mohamed Ayman Ashour - Minister of Higher Scientific Education
  • Sherif Farouk - Minister of Supply and Internal Trade
  • Osama El-Azhari - Minister of Endowments
  • Hani Sweilem - Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation
  • Karim Badawi - Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources
  • Mahmoud Esmat - Minister of Electricity
  • Sameh El-Hefny - Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority
  • Abdul Majid Saqr- Minister of Defence
  • Ahmed Hanno - Minister of Culture
  • Mahmoud Tawfiq – Minister of Interior
  • Badr Abdel Aty – Minister of Joint Foreign Affairs and Immigration

Last month, parliamentary sources who preferred to remain anonymous told Mubasher that the ministers of Finance, Planning, Economic Development, Transportation, Communications, Information Technology, International Cooperation, and Health will likely remain in position.
