Riyadh – Mubasher: OPSWAT, a global leader in critical infrastructure protection (CIP) solutions with headquarters in Florida, has widened its footprint in Saudi Arabia, according to a press release.

In line with Saudi Vision 2030, OPSWAT’s expansion in the Kingdom aims to protect the Gulf country’s essential services against an evolving landscape of cyber threats.

Meanwhile, the Kingdom’s cybersecurity market has witnessed a leap, reaching a value of SAR 13.30 billion ($3.55 billion)  towards the start of  2024.

OPSWAT specialises in CIP technologies and tailor-made solutions that integrate operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) security seamlessly.

Our commitment is to ensure that Saudi Arabia's vital assets remain resilient in the face of evolving cyber challenges.”

Irfan Shakeel, VP of OPSWAT Academy, commented: “Our partnership with MENA ISC 2024 opens new avenues for participants to access world-class CIP cybersecurity training.”

“This initiative is part of OPSWAT's global SAR 37.50 million ($10 million) scholarship program, reinforcing our dedication to addressing the growing demand for certified CIP cybersecurity experts,” Shakeel added.

Recent reports highlighted an increase in state-sponsored cyberattacks targeting Saudi Arabia’s critical infrastructure, driven by the nation’s rapid digital transformation.

The average cost of a data breach in the Kingdom hit around SAR 30 million ($8 million), which reflected the urgent need for robust cybersecurity measures and human resources.
