Cairo – Mubasher: Autotech, Africa’s leading auto aftermarket exhibition, kicked off at the Cairo International Exhibition Center in Nasr City on 17 November 2024, according to a press release.

Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, Autotech will conclude its activities on 19 November. More than 300 companies from China, India, Taiwan, Turkey, and Romania, among others, will participate.

Sherif El-Mawardy, Chairman of Egypt Expo and Convention Authority (EECA), inaugurated the three-day event, which will gather key local and international companies to showcase the latest trends and developments in the automotive aftermarket industry.

In line with Egypt's efforts to strengthen its presence in regional markets, the exhibition will host buyers' missions from African countries, including Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania, to enhance the presence of Egyptian products in African markets.

The exhibition will allow buyers to discover innovative, high-quality products from Egyptian industries. Hence, it will improve export opportunities for local products and secure a robust platform to expand the Egyptian market’s presence across Africa.  

Hanaa Youssef, Autotech Exhibition Director, said: “We are thrilled with the success of this year's edition, which saw an 80% increase in attendance compared to the previous edition. This achievement is a testament to the momentum generated by a variety of events, including the ‘Autotech Conference’, ‘Live Demonstrations’, and the Matchmaking Program.”

She highlighted: “The Autotech 2024 edition features eight key sectors: " Parts & components, repair and maintenance, tyres and batteries, accessories & customizing, oils & lubricants, Commercial spare parts, Service Station & Car Wash, and Electronics & Systems."
