Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: International Holding Company (IHC) and  Alpha Dhabi Holding sold their entire stakes in Modon Holding to L’imad Holding Company, a wholly owned by the Abu Dhabi Government.

IHC divested its 42.54% shareholding to maintain any single-sector exposure below 20% and unlock additional liquidity, according to a recent press release.

In line with its diversified growth strategy, IHC will recycle the capital into scalable opportunities across healthcare, technology, energy, food & agriculture, and financial services.

Syed Basar Shueb, CEO of IHC, commented: “While we continue to see attractive fundamentals in real estate, our strategy is to avoid overconcentration in any single sector. Recycling capital from Modon provides additional liquidity to accelerate investment into other high-growth areas where we believe we can create sustainable, long-term value for our shareholders.”

Meanwhile, Alpha Dhabi Holding sold its 8.50% equity to drive growth across its eight verticals, including climate capital, real estate, hospitality, construction, industry, energy, healthcare, and investments.

This divestment also aimed at maintaining balanced exposure across vital sectors and geographies, while unlocking additional liquidity to support the group’s diversified growth strategy.

Hamad Al Ameri, Managing Director and Group CEO of Alpha Dhabi Holding, said: “We will continue to recycle capital as part of rebalancing our portfolio and ensuring that we have sufficient liquidity to pursue both organic and inorganic opportunities.”

L’imad Holding currently holds an 84.76% stake in Modon Holding, which will support the latter on its innovative path in urban development and its confidence to deliver world-class destinations and experiences through its core business sectors.

Regarding its financial position, Modon Holding generated higher revenues at AED 6.54 billion in the first half (H1) of 2025.
