Please find below the list of nominees for the elections of a new Board of Directors, which will take place during the Company’s Annual General Meeting on the 15 March 2026:
Sh. Nasser bin Hamad Al Thani:
Sh. Nasser bin Hamad Al Thani is a highly accomplished C-level executive with over 20 years of experience in corporate leadership, strategic growth and business development in the telecommunications sector.
Currently serving as the Ooredoo Group Regional Chief Executive Officer Middle East, Sh. Nasser has held several roles including Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Ooredoo Group, and prior to that Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Business Officer at Ooredoo Qatar, achieving record-breaking revenue targets and led major initiatives such as the 2022 World Cup operations. Renowned for his strategic insight and exceptional diplomatic skills, he has represented organisations at global forums and built impactful relationships with governments and international stakeholders.
He holds an MBA from the University of Wales and has completed executive programs at HEC Paris and Harvard Business School. He also holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Cardiff, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Qatar University.
Mr. Ibrahim Said Al Riyami:
Mr. Ibrahim Said Al Riyami held the position of Diplomat (Ambassador Rank) at the Omani Embassy in Washington DC until the year 2021. He previously held different senior positions in the government sector in the fields of administration and finance, human resources development, IT and communications department and foreign relations. Mr. Ibrahim was also First Secretary at the Sultanate’s Embassy in the United Kingdom and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al Sahwa Schools. Mr. Ibrahim was previously the Chairman of Oman 70 Holding Company.
He holds a Bachelor of Art in Public Administration from Seattle University in the USA, and a Master of Arts in Diplomatic Studies from the University of Westminster in the UK.
He is also a certified Business Consultant Coach.
Mr. Hussein Abdullah Al Haddad:
Mr. Hussein Abdullah Al Haddad has worked in the government sector for more than 32 years. He is currently the Head of the Secretariat General for National Celebrations in Salalah. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Qurayat Tourism Project.
He is a business man who has established a number of projects and companies in Oman, and a representative of several international companies in the Sultanate.
Mr. Thani Ali Al Malki:
Mr. Thani is currently the Chief Strategy and Digital Transformation Officer at Ooredoo Qatar since December 2025, after being the Chief Business Officer and the Executive Director - Business at Ooredoo Qatar.
Previously, Mr. Thani was Ooredoo Qatar's Head of Radio Network, achieving great success and launching the first 5G network in Qatar.
Prior to that, he worked at Es'hailSat - a Qatar-based satellite company.
Having a strong understanding of business telecom systems, which he gained during his time at British Telecom, as well as extensive expertise in IT infrastructure working with Barwa Media Company, Mr. Thani brings a wealth of experience to boards of directors.
He holds a B.S. in Electronics & Communication Engineering from the University of Leeds, UK.
Mr. Said Faraj Al Rabeea:
Mr. Said Faraj Al Rabeea has worked in the government sector for more than 37 years, during which time has held a number of senior positions in human resources, information technology and telecommunications. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Duqm Data Centre and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts.
Mr. Eisa Mohammed Al Mohannadi:
Mr. Eisa Al Mohannadi currently serves as Chief Financial Officer in Ooredoo Qatar, where he has held a number of positions since 2012. Mr. Eisa was also in charge of multiple senior positions in the field of banking services, risk management, revenue assurance and public administration.
Mr. Eisa holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Marymount University in the United States of America. He also holds a Master degree in Digital Transformation from HEC PARIS.
Mr. Hamad Mohammad Al Wahaibi:
Mr. Hamad Mohammad Al Wahaibi has more than 20 years of experience in areas of investment, assets management, business development and financial sector. He is the Head of the Investment Unit at the Social Protection Fund. Mr. Al Wahaibi is also a member of the boards of Renaissance Services Company and Oman Flour Mills Company.
Mr. Al Wahaibi holds a Masters of Business Administration degree, specializing in Finance. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charter holder, and has a Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM).
Mr. Salim Ali Al Hinai:
Mr. Salim Al Hinai holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Bedfordshire and a Bachelor of Arts degree. He has diverse experience in the financial and investment fields, as well as in project management and communications. Mr. Al Hinai also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Bank Nizwa.
Mr. Saim Yaksan:
Mr. Saim Yaksan serves as Ooredoo Group Chief Procurement Officer.
He has over 26 years of experience in telecommunications, IT and financial services industries across mature and emerging markets around the world, and has a successful record of procurement and large-scale business transformations for several telecom operators and digital, fintech and technology companies.
Prior to joining Ooredoo, he was Senior Vice President at McKinsey and was previously Group Chief Transformation Officer for MTN. He had various senior roles as CEO of MTN Cameroon, Group Chief Procurement Officer and CEO of MTN Sourcing Companies, in addition to senior roles at Vodafone Group and as CPO in Vodafone operations.
Mr. Saim holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Cologne, Germany and participated in Erasmus scholarship program studying at Dublin City University, Ireland.
Mr. Shabib Mohammed Al Darmaki:
Mr. Shabib Mohammed Al Darmaki previously held the position of Director – General of the Civil Service Employees’ Pension Fund. He has also held board membership in several public joint stock companies in the fields of business and Islamic banking services.
Mr. Shabib Al Darmaki holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Oklahoma City University in the United States of America and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Helwan University in Cairo, Egypt.
Mr. Salah Abdulla Al Shamsi:
Mr. Salah Al Shamsi has over 28 years of experience in strategic leadership and management, with a strong track record in driving organizational transformation and operational excellence. Currently, he serves as the Head of Strategic Planning and Risk Management at Al-Maha Petroleum Products Marketing Company leading cross-functional teams across strategy, risk management, and fuel station network development. His experience includes leading major development and investment projects, conducting feasibility studies, corporate restructuring, and delivering and monitoring the execution of innovative business solutions. Furthermore, he is equipped with extensive experience in sales, marketing, advertising, and customer service in addition to the development and management of retail chains, restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops.
Mr. Salah holds an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Hull in the UK and BBA in Marketing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in the USA.
Mr. Ali Saif Al Saadi:
Mr. Ali Saif Al Saadi holds 23 years of experience in different sectors. He worked in Zaeem Al Emarat institution and Al Zaeem Magazine and then in Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club at the Media Office. He is also the founder of Al Buraimi Investment Company LLC and a member of the Real Estate Development Committee at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Al Buraimi.
Mr. Ali Al Saadi holds a General Diploma and is currently a Bachelor student in Business Economics at Al Buraimi University College.
Mr. Nooh Abdul Hameed Al Zadjali:
Mr. Nooh Abdul Hameed Al Zadjali is an organizational development professional with extensive experience in organizational design, corporate governance, project management, policy and procedure development, and quality management. He currently serves as a Consultant - Management consultancy Services at TAKATUF Oman, supporting organizations in enhancing operating models and effectiveness.
He holds an MSc in Human Resource Management (Talent Management & Development) with Distinction from the University of Lincoln (UK). Mr. Nooh is a CIPD Associate, certified in Lean methodology, and a graduate of the National Leadership Program “Etimad” at the Royal Academy of Management.
Throughout his career, Mr. Nooh has held leadership roles across multiple sectors in Oman, including power and utilities, logistics and supply chain, tourism, and finance and insurance. His professional approach focuses on aligning people, processes, and technology to strengthen governance, ensure compliance, establish robust performance frameworks, and deliver sustainable, measurable outcomes.
Mr. Saif Rashid Al Kalbani:
Mr. Saif Rashid Al Kalbani has worked in Royal Oman Police (ROP) since 1991, where he held several prestigious positions in the ROP, including Director of the Office of the Assistant Inspector General, Director of the Officers’ Training Institute and Director General of Equipment and Supplies. As a result, he received cumulative experience in the police, security, training, and administrative fields.
Mr. Saif holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Dubai Police Academy in 2003. He has also received qualification and training through specialized local and international courses.
Mr. Amer Salim Al Jabri:
Mr. Amer Salim Al Jabri is currently the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Strategic & Precious Metals Processing LLC (SFZ). He is a senior executive with more than 25 years of experience across energy, industrials, metals & mining, and international trading. He brings deep expertise in governance, corporate finance, project financing and strategic growth. He is experienced in digital and business transformation, supporting boards and advisory councils to drive value maximisation, strengthen risk oversight, and enable sustainable expansion.
Mr. Amer holds MSc in Finance & Banking from the British University in Dubai (with University of Birmingham) and BSc in Finance from Sultan Qaboos University. He also holds a Certificate in Board Directorship from GCC Board Directors Institute.
Mr. Younis Salim Al Siyabi:
Mr. Younis Al Siyabi holds the National Vocational Qualifications Certificate (NVQS), majoring in the technical field and specializing in performing industrial operations, from the Emergency Medicine Trainees’ Association in the UK. He has experience in different industries and positions.
From the year 2000 onwards, he served in Flexible Industrial Packages Co. as the Operator of an Italian-made color printing machine, Production Officer and Personnel and Administrative Manager. In 2011, he worked as a Public Relations Officer in Al-Rawas Marble and Granite Company LLC before moving to his final position before retirement at the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs from 2012 to 2022.
Mr. Younis also gained experience by attending courses and workshops organized by the Financial Services Authority, Oman Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Investment Promotion in several areas such as accounting and law.
