Al Madina Insurance Company SAOG would like to inform the Financial Services Authority, Muscat Stock Exchange, and the esteemed Investors that it has received three (3) applications to fill in One (1) Seat in the Board of Directors. The following is the list of nominees for membership in the Board of Directors, subject to Shareholders’ approval at the Annual Ordinary General Meeting.
1. Dr. Wail bin Saif Al Harrasi
Dr. Wail Al-Harrasi is an Omani academic, entrepreneur, and government expert, combining engineering, finance, and investment in modern technologies.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering (Sheffield), Master's and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (Newcastle), and studies in Finance (LSE).
- Current Positions: Founder and CEO of "Wabas" company for investment in modern technologies, and a member of several endowment and Sharia institutions.
- Previous Positions: Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments (retired), Chairman and member of Boards of Trustees for several colleges, and experience in the oil and gas sector and university teaching.
1. Mr. Adnan Abdullah Al Barwani
A lawyer and former Chief Public Prosecutor with over 20 years of legal experience. Holds a bachelor’s degree in Sharia and Law from the College of Sharia and Law. Has worked in the fields of criminal investigations, financial cases, and institutional work. Served in the Public Prosecution in the Sultanate of Oman, reaching the position of Chief Public Prosecutor, and also headed Investigations and Property Security at Oman Air. Currently practices law and possess expertise in governance, risk management, and institutional investigations. Seeks to contribute to strengthening institutional work and supporting the principles of transparency and governance.
2. Mr. Radhwan Rahim Bakhsh Al Balushi
Radhwan Al Balushi is a finance and regulatory professional with experience in financial analysis, investment evaluation, and governance oversight within regulated infrastructure sectors in the Sultanate of Oman.
- Current Position: Senior Financial Analyst at the Authority for Public Services Regulation (APSR), where he evaluates capital investment projects, public-private partnerships (PPPs), and sector restructuring.
- Previous Experience: Worked at the Social Protection Fund specializing in IFRS-compliant financial reporting, and gained corporate finance experience at National Gas Company SAOG.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, advanced programs in IFRS, financial modeling and valuation, and international training with the World Bank Group, IMF, and United Nations.
- Expertise: Strong background in financial governance, investment analysis, and regulatory oversight to support sound decision-making and long-term shareholder value.
