Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a total value of EGP 38 billion over three auctions on Monday, 30 March.
The first issue was valued at EGP 8 billion and will mature in two years on 31 March 2028, according to official data.
Holding a tenor of three years until 31 March 2029, the second offering stood at EGP 20 billion.
The third tranche amounted to EGP 10 billion, carrying a five-year maturity period until 31 March 2031.
Moreover, the CBE auctioned zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 8 billion, maturing in 674 days on 3 February 2028.
The financial authority also issued a floating-rate T-bond at EGP 2 billion, with a five-year tenor.
