The board of directors discussed the topics listed on the agenda in its meeting no. 3 held on 30/03/2026 and passed the following resolutions.

Subject: Appointment of Head of Information Technology Faculty

 

Pursuant to a resolution of the Board of Directors, Majan University College SAOG is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jacintha Menezes as the Head of the Information Technology Faculty.

Dr. Menezes joined the College in 2007 and has over 23 years of professional experience. She has been serving as Acting Head of the Information Technology Faculty, during which she successfully led the department with high efficiency and implemented the operational plan for the academic year, achieving its targeted objectives.

Dr. Menezes currently holds the position of Assistant Professor and possesses extensive experience in academic systems, student engagement, curriculum development, and accreditation processes. She is also recognized for her strong leadership capabilities, solid relationships with students and colleagues, and proven efficiency in managing academic operations.

In the field of research, she has achieved notable accomplishments, including holding four patents, leading a research project funded by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, and participating as a co-investigator in another research project.

The College and the Board of Directors are confident that this appointment will contribute to strengthening the performance of the Information Technology Faculty, enhancing academic excellence, and supporting the achievement of the College’s strategic objectives.
