Riyadh - Mubasher: Lumi Rental Company has detected a cybersecurity incident resulting in unauthorized and limited access to certain customer data through one of its systems.

Upon discovery, the company activated its approved security protocols and implemented technical measures to contain the breach and secure the affected access point.

The company confirmed that the incident did not involve any financial or banking data belonging to customers or the firm itself.

Furthermore, the breach has had no impact on business continuity or operational services, with all primary systems and services functioning normally.

Lumi Rental has engaged a specialized third-party data protection firm to conduct technical examinations and verification. The company stated it has notified the relevant competent authorities and taken necessary legal actions in accordance with applicable regulations.

While the technical assessment remains ongoing, the company reiterated that the privacy and confidentiality of customer information remain a top priority.

Lumi Rental committed to disclosing any further material developments as required by regulatory standards.

In June, Lumi Rental’s shareholders approved the transfer of over SAR 55 million from statutory reserves to retained earnings.
