Riyadh — Mubasher: The board of Dar Almarkabah for Renting Cars Company (DS Rent) recently approved the appointment of Ayman Jaber as an independent member to fill a vacant seat on the board, according to a bourse filing.

The decision was issued on 3 August 2026 and became effective from the following day, 4 August, and will remain in force until the end of the current board term.

Jaber brings over 17 years of leadership experience in internal auditing, risk management, governance, and compliance.

The new member’s professional background includes roles across the banking, financial technology, finance, and telecommunications sectors. He has previously served on various boards of directors as well as audit and risk committees.

Moreover, Jaber holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and maintains professional certifications including Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

DS Rent stated that the appointment is subject to formal approval by shareholders at the next General Assembly meeting.
