Riyadh – Mubasher: Mobile Telecommunication Company Saudi Arabia (Zain KSA) signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) with DataVolt to explore the development of data center facilities across Saudi Arabia, supporting rising demand for cloud services, digital applications, and AI.

The MoU, signed at LEAP 2026, combines Zain KSA’s expertise in telecommunications networks, infrastructure, and digital services with DataVolt’s capabilities in developing and operating high-performance data centers.

The partnership aims to expand the Kingdom’s digital infrastructure ecosystem and foster its readiness for rapid growth in the data economy.

Under the agreement, the companies will develop flexible and scalable data center capacity to meet Zain KSA’s future requirements, while supporting the needs of government entities, businesses, mega enterprises, cloud service providers, digital content companies, and digital platforms.

The planned data centers are expected to incorporate infrastructure designed for high-density computing, advanced cooling systems, and high-capacity connectivity to meet the evolving requirements of cloud services and data- and AI-driven apps.

Zain KSA CEO Saad bin Abdulrahman Al Sadhan commented: “Data centers have become essential to the digital economy, cloud computing, and AI. They provide the critical link between communications networks and the computing capabilities that industries need to grow and innovate.”

On the sidelines of LEAP 2026, Zain KSA joined forces with Nokia to design and create an integrated talent development program.
