Riyadh- Mubasher: Saudi Ceramic Company (Saudi Ceramics) has resumed operations at its tile production line which was disrupted by a fire at a feeding power station on 19 August 2026.
The company has deployed rented mobile generators as a temporary power source to maintain output while the damaged station is reconstructed.
The company completed an assessment of the fire damage, determining that the affected assets have a net book value of SAR 1.30 million.
This loss will be recognized in the financial results for the third quarter (Q3) of 2026. Additionally, the company estimates that utilizing alternative energy sources will incur temporary costs of approximately SAR 1.80 million per month.
Saudi Ceramics confirmed it maintains comprehensive insurance coverage for property damage and business interruption, including the additional costs required to restore operations.
Management is currently coordinating with insurers and relevant authorities to finalize the claim process.
The company stated that these measures are intended to mitigate operational risks and ensure the continuity of its manufacturing activities.
