Saudi bourse’s benchmark index Tadawul closed in the negative territory for the fourth straight day, losing as much as 0.85% or 94.24 points to 10933 pts compared with 11026.96 pts yesterday.
Turnover exceeded SAR 9.8 billion, generated from the exchange of over 292 million shares in more than 147.7 thousand transactions.
Rounding up sectors, 12 headed south, led by banks & financial services which dipped 1.51%. Cement followed with a decline of 1.21%. Meanwhile, three sectors headed north, topped by hotels & tourism and media & publishing which rose 1.15% and 0.34%, respectively.
As for stocks, losers outnumbered gainers by 104 to 38. Insurance company Al-Alamiya led the way on gains, jumping 4.45% to SAR 114.75. Sagr Insurance ranked second, with a rise of 3.28% to SAR 51.
On the flipside, Mubarrad was the major disappointment, plunging 5.80% to SAR 49.70. It was followed by Al-Khodari which dropped 4.55% to SAR 63.
Saudi Kayan was the most active with a turnover of more than SAR 556,77 million, while the leading real estate developer Dar Al Arkan recorded the biggest trading volume of 35,261 million shares.
